NCUA Increases Federal Share Insurance for Credit Unions As a result of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, passed by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Bush last Friday, federal share insurance protection for credit union members has been increased from $100,000.00 up to $250,000.00.
