Originally founded and owned by Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union as a state chartered trust company, in 2003 MEMBERS Trust Company converted to a federal thrift, chartered by the Office of Thrift Supervision, enabling it to offer trust services to members of credit unions across the United States.
Owned by credit unions and CUNA Mutual Insurance Society, MEMBERS Trust Company is managed by and for credit unions to meet the trust and investment needs of members. As a credit union service organization (CUSO), MEMBERS Trust Company adopts the philosophy of its owners to serve members with superior financial products with emphasis on quality service and low fees. This may involve making personal decisions on his or her behalf, managing property or both. Guardianships of incapacitated adults are more typically called conservatorships.
MEMBERS Trust Company can be appointed Guardian of Property and will protect and manage the guardianship property until the minor reaches adulthood or as long as incompetency lasts.
